His therapeutic hypnotherapy can also help those looking to change negative habits, improve their confidence, enhance sports performance, and for individuals seeking guidance in setting and achieving personal growth objectives.
Peter is dedicated to helping people navigate their mental health journeys through hypnotherapy in Newcastle. This is driven by his desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of mental wellness, and to offer support to those seeking to improve their mental health and quality of life.
Certified and Experienced Hypnotherapist
With an extensive background in nursing and education, Peter has developed a unique perspective on mental wellness and therapeutic practices.
This began in 1998 with a Diploma in Nursing Studies, specialising in children’s nursing, which laid the foundation for his understanding of care and empathy for both children and adults.
Peter’s journey to becoming a qualified, professional hypnotherapist, started with a curiosity around research evidence about how hypnotherapy is effective for many client issues, culminating in him completing a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy Diploma in 2023.
This qualification, combined with Peter’s nursing experience, understanding of mental wellness, and passion for holistic and patient-centred therapeutic approaches help him in being an outstanding hypnotherapist.
Peter uses all of his different therapeutic approaches in his hypnotherapy work to help people overcome their difficulties and help them achieve their goals.
Hypnotherapy for Mental Wellness
Peter’s career path has been driven by a passion for understanding the human mind and a commitment to enhancing mental wellness through hypnotherapy.
The decision to specialise in hypnotherapy was influenced by his experiences in nursing and education, where he witnessed firsthand the impact that mindset and the beliefs people hold on their health.
Peter was originally intrigued by the transformative potential of hypnotherapy in helping people overcome mental health difficulties, including phobias, overeating & weight management, stress, anxiety, phobias, sexual performance issues, and chronic pain.
This passion also derives from Peter’s own transformative personal experience with hypnotherapy, and also aligns with his goal of offering more individualised and holistic care using proven approaches.
Peter believes in the power of the mind-body connection and the ability of hypnotherapy to tap into this relationship to facilitate healing and personal growth.
More About Peter's Approach
Beyond Peter’s professional qualifications & experiences, he is deeply invested in the ongoing exploration of the mind and its capabilities, which extends to a broader fascination with mental wellness and the potential of alternative therapeutic practices like hypnotherapy.
Peter is lucky enough to have two children in their twenties, and watching them grow from infants, has given him a vital perspective on the importance of mental wellness for young people.
He takes part in continual professional development in hypnotherapy, learning and integrating other useful techniques and learnings. Peter loves to walk outdoors, read, watch films – both forms of hypnosis – take his greyhound for a wander, read and socialise with close family and friends.
