He spent 10 years practising in the NHS and has advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness based approaches

Mariam Majid Psychologist Newcastle

Dr Mariam Majid (Clinical Psychologist - CBT and EMDR Specialist)

Dr Mariam Majid has over 19 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in which she has developed an eclectic approach, incorporating Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Mariam is our trauma specialist and has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) - a specialist trauma therapy to help overcome trauma & PTSD.

As one of our most experienced clinical psychologists, Dr Christine Price has worked with adults in both the NHS and private sector. Due to her vast experience, she is skilled in treating a range of issues including depression, anxiety (inlcuding worry & health anxiety), self-esteem issues, and physical health problems. She specialises in CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Dr Theresa Comer (Clinical Psychologist)

With over 11 years of experience in both the NHS and private practice, Dr Theresa Comer is skilled at incorporating Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Into the therapy she delivers to adults with problems such as depression, anxiety, body image difficulties, chronic health conditions and hormonal conditions (including menopause).

Dr Alicia Brown has over 10 years of experience in the NHS and private mental health practices. Previous experience as a Senior Clinical Psychologist gives Alicia a specialist background in providing support to adults who are experiencing the psychologist effects of long-term health conditions such as cancer, chronic pain, and other, related traumas. Her main forms of therapy are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Claire has previously worked as a school counsellor, where she helped children with problems such as bullying, low self-confidence, school refusal and more. Her particular areas of interest are in long term health problems and health anxiety.

An LGBTQ+ Informed Counsellor, Peter Robinson-Vernon specialises in LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, anger management, relationship counselling. He is also a trained anger management counsellor and has experience in helping children through counselling for issues such as bullying, bereavement, and school refusal, to name but a few. Peter Robinson-Vernon provides face to face and online counselling to both adults and children.

Graeme is a highly experienced couples counsellor who provides couples counselling, relationship therapy, and marriage guidance. He is skilled in one-to-one mindfulness and using mindfulness for relapse prevention as well as a tool to help people become more present and engaged in day to day life.
