Dr Stuart Sadler is a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist who specialises in helping people with depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. He spent 10 years practising in the NHS and has advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness based approaches
Dr Mariam Majid has over 19 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in which she has developed an eclectic approach, incorporating Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Mariam is our trauma specialist and has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) - a specialist trauma therapy to help overcome trauma & PTSD.
As one of our most experienced clinical psychologists, Dr Christine Price has worked with adults in both the NHS and private sector. Due to her vast experience, she is skilled in treating a range of issues including depression, anxiety (inlcuding worry & health anxiety), self-esteem issues, and physical health problems. She specialises in CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
With over 10 years of experience working in mental health settings, Dr Hannah Barraclough is experienced in helping people with depression, anxiety, sleep problems, and difficulties related to long-term conditions. Hannah is able to see people face to face at her clinic in Durham and online where she is particularly skilled in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
As a Counselling Psychologist, Marie has worked in a range of settings and is experienced in working with people of all ages: children, teenagers and adults, as well as couples using a variety of approaches. Marie is particularly skilled in working with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, and addiction. She is CBT and EMDR trained and continues to work with adults, couples, children and young people both face-to-face and online.
Dr Matt Selman helps children, young people, couples, and families to overcome difficulties at home to improve both mental health and family relatonships. He has over 14 years of experience working in NHS settings and is an experienced Child Psychologist and a qualified Family Therapist, helping families overcome conflict, loss, and change.
Claire holds an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling in addition to a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills. She is experienced in helping a range of problems including depression, anxiety, bereavement, self-esteem difficulties, recent trauma, and more. Claire also offers specialist hypnotherapy for difficulties related to breaking bad habits, stress & tension, and improving relaxation.
Louise specialises in individual counselling for a range of problems and has advanced training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to help people overcome stress, anxiety and difficulties with coping with difficult events. Louise has also completed training in couples counselling as part of her continued growth as a counsellor where she works with individuals experiencing difficulties in relationships as well as other difficulties.
Graeme is a highly experienced couples counsellor who provides couples counselling, relationship therapy, and marriage guidance. He works with problems relating to conflict, affairs, attachment, and also supports those going through separation and divorce. He is skilled in working with all types of relationship (including LGBTQ+) and also offers individual counselling for adolescents experiencing difficulties with relationship challenges.
A highly trained and experienced Child & Adolescent Counsellor, Samantha uses a variety of counselling techniques (including play therapy, counselling and other approaches) to help children overcome issues such as self-esteem difficulties, bullying, anxiety, depression, self-harm and more. She is also able to help parents and adults with a range of issues that affect them as an individual and as a parent.
Michael is our Specialist Mindfulness and Meditation Practitioner & Therapist who helps people to incorporate mindfulness meditation into their life to improve their mental health and get more enjoyment from life. He is skilled in one-to-one mindfulness and using mindfulness for relapse prevention as well as a tool to help people become more present and engaged in day to day life.
