About Jessica Littlefair (CBT Wellness Practitioner)
Jessica Littlefair is our CBT Wellness Practitioner at Newcastle Psychologist & Counselling, offering integrative, compassionate support for adults and young people looking to improve their mental wellbeing.
With over 13 years of experience working 1-to-1 in NHS, education, and community-based services, Jessica draws on a rich and varied background to create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative space for clients.
She integrates her core experience and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Transactional Analysis and other evidence-based approaches, tailoring her work to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Jessica supports clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship or attachment difficulties, stress, work/life balance, bereavement, and neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism).
Her approach is down-to-earth, intuitive, and strengths-based, focused on helping clients better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and feel more at ease in their lives.
Experienced CBT Practitioner in Newcastle
Jessica is a highly experienced psychological practitioner, having worked in both the NHS and education sector.
She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Low-Intensity Psychological Interventions (CBT-based) from Teesside University and has worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) across various NHS Talking Therapies services across the North East.
Jessica is developing her skills further, seeking and training further in a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (DPC). She has also completed an MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology and a BSc in Psychology from Newcastle University.
Her diverse clinical background includes experience in bereavement counselling, supporting university students, mentoring neurodivergent individuals, and working with complex social and mental health needs.
Jessica also brings a wealth of lived insight and personal compassion to her work, helping clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
CBT & Integrative Therapy Newcastle
Jessica’s style is flexible, integrative, and client-led. Her therapy combines structured, solution-focused CBT with deeper explorations of past experiences and relationship patterns using Transactional Analysis and psychotherapeutic techniques.
She believes therapy works best when it feels like a genuine conversation; empathetic, warm, and at times, even a little humorous.
Whether you’re navigating burnout, a major life change, or longstanding emotional struggles, Jessica works collaboratively to help you feel more in control, supported, and empowered.
She has a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, clients with low self-worth, and those navigating loss, change or emotional overwhelm. Her aim is to help people “work smarter, not harder”; supporting them to make meaningful changes that align with who they are, rather than pushing against their natural way of being.
Passion for People & Wellbeing
Jessica has always been drawn to understanding people. From reading books on how the brain works as a child to supporting clients in clinical roles, she has a deep curiosity and instinct to help.
Having benefitted from therapy herself, Jessica brings both professional knowledge and personal insight into the therapeutic space. Clients often describe her as someone who ‘gets it’, is authentic, non-judgemental, and truly caring.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys exploring the local music scene, walking her energetic whippet, attending yoga classes, and slowly working on a DIY house renovation project with her partner.
Registered with Professional Bodies
Jessica offers therapy sessions face-to-face at the Gosforth clinic (Regent Centre) as well as online appointments using Skype, Facetime, Zoom & WhatsApp Video.
